Ok, firstly ask your chosen stylist/salon if they offer “obligation free” consultations…This is advantageous as it will help you to determine if this salon and stylist are a good fit for you!! If your going to a new hairdresser or your regular is so busy seeing 100’s of clients its much easier coming in with fully styled hair to refresh the stylists memory as to what your hair looks like on a regular basis the natural fall and if there is any kinks or waves present. Arriving for a consult with dirty hair in a ponytail or wet hair doesn’t help the stylist it makes our decision difficult as the natural fall of the hair is compromised and we don’t love touching dirty hair :).
Collaboration with your stylist is key so I would suggest bringing in a few of your own pics its a good starting point for your stylist to understand the initial direction of determining your new style. I use google images as you can refine your hairstyle search with whatever length hair you have and any styles you like. Be mindful when choosing a new styles how much time you would designate to daily styling as you may be disappointing if the style may require blow drying and the use of a styling tool and you have a busy life and have very little time.
The most important aspect of your style and is generally overlooked is The hair care products individually suitable to maintain your new hairdo. The stylist cannot guarantee your new style with last seasons or your last hair styles hair care products….Always remember each new hair style will have individually tailored hair care.
I would love to meet you at my salon in Tarragindi to design a new hairstyle Just ask for Andrea. 🙂
See you asap <3
